So the pregnancy news has spread far and wide and we have plans as to how we are going to make this latest MAJOR life change work. We've pretty much had to devise:
1. The way we want things to work out
2. The next to the best way for things to work out
3. Worst case scenario, but at least it's a solution
So yeah, we have plans A,B, and C with A being favorable. I won't get into the logistics of it all because it is so much to take in at once. oh yes, we have had to break it all down, analyze it, and put it back together. I feel like I dissected a frog in science class. Instead, I've been dissecting thoughts, plans, and ideas. In the end, it is all a little gutsy anyway, so it may as well be a frog. ;)
Anyway, I am at that phase where I want to eat everything and when I eat, Kaleigh says "I need a bite." Right now, everything is "I need, I need, I need." If I have a candle lit on my desk, she tells me "I need to blow" because she wants to blow it out. Yesterday, the black smoke from the candle floated up to her little nose and she said, "Ewww, stinky fire."
The best thing she said today, however, were the words, "Higher than a mother trucker." Yes, that is my fault, but it was so funny. She loves the song "Starships." Well, when ole Nicki is higher than a mother "something," I say "trucker." So tonight she was in bed between hubby and I chilling out when she sang:
"Starships were meant to flyyyy. Nah nah nah naaaaah skyyyy. Nah nah nah mmmm tiiime. Mmmm mmmmm mm ine. NAH NAH NAH HIGHER THAN A MOTHER TRUCKER!"
Had I laughed any harder, I would have peed my pants. I didn't think there was too much else that could top the baby looking at me this morning and saying, "Haaaaaaay" when I went to get her out of the crib to start her day.
But then when putting Kaleigh to bed tonight, she looked at me and said, "Kiss me, K-K-Kiss me." Yeah, she was breaking out some Katy Perry.
Anyway, other than my face breaking out like a 16 year old with bad skin and wanting to eat everything in sight, I'm not sick yet. I still have a couple of weeks before the puke fairy visits me. Hopefully I stop in the second trimester like I did with Amie. I lost 25 pounds during that pregnancy. I lost 52 with Kaleigh because I threw up the entire time. The weight loss is nice and both babies were healthy, but Kaleigh was a smaller baby and she's my picky eater (she's my bean pole). Amie was an 8 pound baby and eats everything.
But tomorrow is a new day and I'm sure it will involve new zits and different cravings.
Until next time...
